SFCC is putting together a time capsule to be opened in 2075!

Our goal is to leave our legacy to be opened by our church in 50 years, to show the future generation the foundation SFCC was built on over the past century. We will have a message about Legacy during the community service at the Sandborn Fall Festival.

We will place our items in the capsule on October 5th, and have the capsule buried in front of the church shortly afterwards.

What we currently plan on putting in the time capsule are:

• Photos (including a group photo in front of the church)

• A signed Bible with our favorite scriptures highlighted

• Letters written to ourselves or our future children/grandchildren

We are open to suggestions for things to go into the time capsule!

We will have a suggestion box in the Worship Center until the end of May. However, there are many, many restrictions on what can go into a 50-year time capsule. We are taking precautions to ensure longevity and archival quality for our photos and documents. Here is a list of things that cannot be included:​

• Wood

• Metal / Electronics / Batteries

• Plastics 

• Wool, Silk, or Nylon fabrics

• Rubber

• Newspaper / Laminated Paper

​We will also have shirts available for those who want to show support for our legacy! Shirts will be available in blue, grey, pink and tan ($15 For size S - XL / $17 for 2X and up / Kids size S-L also available). Proceeds will go towards funding the time capsule.
