Most of the things in our lives – good or bad – didn’t come to be overnight. It wasn’t the result of one big event or one decision, but there’s this gradual building up that happened over time. In other words, the sum of all the little choices we make over a period of time will ultimately bear some kind of fruit down the road.
This is known as a cumulative effect – where something is created by gradual additions over time. In the Bible, we know this as reaping what we sow. This can be good when we sow good seeds, but it can also work against us when what we sow isn’t so good. But the law of reaping and sowing is inevitable, whether we choose to believe it or not.
