Tension often carries with it a negative connotation, because oftentimes it is a bad thing. But when it comes to our faith, believe it or not, tension can actually be a good thing. The problem is that in our current Christian culture, we constantly try to remove tension from our faith and belief. We'd rather give or be handed pre-packaged, easy answers to complex problems instead of wrestling with the tension between two opposing extremes.

Over the next eight weeks, we're going to see that living in the tension isn't necessarily a bad thing. That's often where God stretches us and grows our faith the most.
