COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS & UPDATES (October 30, 2020)

Due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19, face masks are still recommended as we gather for worship, and we continue to strongly encourage you to space out in the sanctuary at least 6' of distance from others who are not in your family and refrain from hugging or shaking hands.

Bulletins and individually-packaged communion will be safely distributed as you arrive, but we ask you refrain from shaking hands, hugging, or any physical contact with those outside of your own family. No plates will be passed, but a collection box is available in the rear of the sanctuary to place your offerings in as you arrive or depart.

We still have not resumed our breakfast before worship, but we have now resumed Kids' Connection (children’s church), nursery, and Sunday School classes. The kids will dismiss after communion, as before. We encourage children in the older class to wear masks to their class, and social distancing will be observed to the best of our ability.

If your child’s school shuts down or sends children home temporarily due to a number of COVID-19 cases, or if your child stays home because of symptoms of an illness, we request that all children in your household refrain from attending youth activities, including children’s church, for the next 2 weeks. With multiple school systems represented in the church, we wish to continue classes as much as possible while minimizing risk to our students and families. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

We know that you might be choosing to refrain from being around crowds for a little longer. We respect that but also encourage you to stay connected with us by worshiping with us from home on Sundays. You may join our live stream on the Videos Page or on YouTube (search "SFCC Online" & select the date) at approximately 9:10, a few minutes before we start the service.

We hope and pray you will rejoin the fellowship when this outbreak is contained and you feel it safe to return to the family gathering. While worshiping from home is a convenient and helpful option during this pandemic, from Scripture, we believe the body of Christ involves connection with and service to one another. So, while we understand the current situation, your absence is certainly felt. We love you, and we miss serving you and enjoying the blessing of what you contribute to this local body of Christ. If there is any way we can minister to you, or if you should need anything, don't hesitate to get in touch with me!
