^{PART-TIME YOUTH MINISTER}

^{Sandborn, IN is a small rural community (about 400+ population) in the very northern corner of Knox County, 10 miles south of Linton and 25 miles northeast of Vincennes.  Our church averages 80 in worship attendance.  We have a blended worship service, and we have had a part-time paid youth minister for almost eight years.  Our current youth/children's minister will be transitioning to children's ministry only, allowing our new youth minister to focus solely on the Jr. & Sr. High Youth program.}

^{Candidates must have experience in youth work.  No college training is required, but it is preferred.  This position is PART-TIME, mainly requiring the youth minister to be on site primarily on Sunday evenings to lead Youth Group, as well as a few additional occasions (as outlined in the full job description).  The job is initially expected to involve on average 8 hours a week for all duties.  Our anticipation is to grow this ministry in the future to a position with more responsibility, hours, and of course, compensation.  We welcome students and/or bi-vocational candidates.  We are seeking only candidates who feel a strong calling from the Lord to serve Him in such a ministry position.}

^{Employment will begin in September 2010 after Labor Day, when Youth Group gets back in session for the school year.  Our practice has been to break for the summers as a result of very poor participation due to sports, vacations, camps, and summer jobs.  The youth minister, however, will continue to receive salary year-round, as will be outlined in the detailed job description.}
